# Price Monitor

> Monitors Price changes of the Contract. Contract must be a Token contract (ERC-20 like)

## Functionality

* Cron expression can be specified in milliseconds, Quartz expression syntax or seconds/minutes/hours prefix (e.g.  `10 minutes`).

There is an internal throttling with 60 seconds interval, so intervals should be >1 minute

Cron expression is Quartz syntax (ex:  "0 0/10 \* 1/1 \* ? \*" == every 10 minutes)

* Price value threshold for triggering Alerts. (Ex: >5% for percentage or \<200 for absolute values)

* Supply your own Coingecko API key for faster Cron interval (default minimum is 10 min)
* When to query price:

`cron` - On Cron interval

`block` - On every new block(Useful for Oracle source)

* Where to query price:

`oracle` - On-chain Feed (Chainlink Oracle format)

`coingecko` - Coingecko Feed

* Currency of the price. Default is `usd`. (Refer to CoinGecko documentation for supported currencies)

**NOTE**: Currently supported only for `coingecko` feed.

`oracle` feed requires adding Chainlink Oracle Contracts in configuration

## Configuration

* **Cron expression** (`cron`, default: `10 min`): Cron expression in Quartz format (or milliseconds) See [common configuration](https://docs.extractor.live/common-configurations.md#cron).
* **Price Threshold** (`threshold`, default: \`\`): Price threshold in USD See [common configuration](https://docs.extractor.live/common-configurations.md#condition).
* **API Key** (`api_key`, default: `None`): Custom API Key
* **When** (`when`, default: `cron`): When to query price
* **Source** (`source`, default: `coingecko`): Price feed source
* **Currency** (`currency`, default: `usd`): Price currency
* **Severity** (`severity`, default: `-1`): Severity See [common configuration](https://docs.extractor.live/common-configurations.md#severity).
